The study examines Sartre's existentialist philosophy and Ericsson's theory of self-identity development in order to understand and advocate the need for elementary school dance education. Movement through the body can develop self-identity. This is because physical expressions that expose the interior to the outside help to autonomy and achieving. By expanding physical abilities and improving expressiveness, a child can develop his or her own identity. Considering that children grow up amid various social influences such as school life, an appropriate dance education is needed to help elementary school students to culture a healthy self-identity. Dance education provides an aesthetic experience for children to come into contact with society, and affects not only reflexive thinking but also self-identity. A proper approach to dance education in the elementary school years, when children experience sociality after infancy, will not only achieve balanced development, but also contribute to the complete self-identity of the child.

The purpose of this study is to find ways to improve the negative psychological state of the non-disabled siblings of disabled children. To this end, this study examines dance/movement therapy group counseling program conducted for their experiencing physical activities and various expressions.
This study was carried out with 18 participants from various facilities for the disabled in the metropolitan area, who agreed to participate in the program. After dividing them into an experimental group and a control group, the program was applied to eight people who could participate in the experimental group. Before and after the program, a survey was conducted consisting of a self-esteem scale, a self-expression scale, and a perceived competence scale. On the basis of the collected data, the average and standard deviation of the pre- and post-test of the experimental group and the control group were investigated using the SPSS 25.0 program. In addition, differences between groups and differences before and after the test were verified through independent sample t-tests and corresponding sample t-tests, respectively. As a result, the dance/movement therapy group counseling program turned out to be effective in improving self-esteem, self-expression, and perceived competence of the non-disabled siblings of disabled children.
This study shows that the dance/movement therapy group counseling programs with active physical activities and interactions with others help them experience not only verbal-language but also non-verbal expressions and realize their maximum capacity of physical activity. In conclusion, it is summarized that they were able to improve their self-esteem through those bodily experiences.

A Study on the Original Choreography of Frame Based on Erving Goffman’s Framing Theory
무용작품 <틀>에 관한 연구

pp.43-65
Based on the practice PBR (Practice Based Research), this study investigates the entire process from the planning of Frame in Gymnasium Hall I of Ewha Womans University on Jun. 7, 2019 to its performance. It means textualizing and historicizing a performance work overcoming the ephemerality and temporality of the dance
Referencing the concept of the analysis method presented in “Frame Analysis” (1974) of a famous American scholar Erving Goffman(1922~1982), Frame consists of three sub-themes, “assumptions,” “experience composition and frame,” and “basic keys.” The choreographic purpose of Frame is to deliver a message to form the choreographer’s own frame independently and actively, rather than to passively adapt within the confrontation of frame.
The results of this study on the creation, choreographing process and practice to its performance are as follows. First, Frame’s intention and subject of choreography was effectively revealed through the visual and auditory elements. Second, I could be found from immersion in movements through my inner workings and breathing. Lingering imagery of breathing and feelings could be felt during the practice and performance. Third, expression of the researcher’s life direction in Frame helped building the choreographer’s artistic world. This paper will provide an opportunity for the researcher to gain researcher’s capability of research and grow as an artist in dance creation field.
